Spanish Wills
Statistics show that people do not like making Wills. It is understandable that people do not like to consider death, but it is irrational not to consider what should happen to your assets should you die, and make sure that your accumulated wealth is distributed in accordance with your wishes.
It is important that property purchasers make a Spanish will, even if you have already made a British will. For the small cost of making a Spanish will your assets within Spain will be respected as you wish for your peace of mind, thus avoiding overseas lawyers or the Spanish government unnecessarily receiving large amounts of your assets. The Property Line’s clients can receive our assistance to have their wills prepared at the notary’s office.
Power of Attorney
You may find it necessary to have a power of attorney arranged for someone to handle your affairs in your absence. This may be simply for the property purchase or sale, or more general purposes. Either way The Property Line can organise this for you swiftly and expediently.
Conveyancing
Should you require independent conveyancing to ensure the swift transfer of your property, whether buying or selling, then The Property Line can offer this service.
Residencias
Whether it be for a working residencia, or you have decided to retire to the island, we can offer our services in assisting you through the bureaucracy of becoming a resident.
Legal Services
The Property Line is able to offer all aspects of legal advice and representation courtesy of our spanish lawyer (abogado) Carmen Botia who speaks fluent English. She is regularly in our offices in Golf del Sur, San Blas, but can also be found in her offices in San Isidro, conveniently located close to the new Land Registry and Notary offices.
